We are a Colombian couple, Fanny Diaz, Pathologist and Camilo Delgado, Internist and Rheumatologist. We have 5 children, 4 grandchildren and a life surrounded by animals, especially dogs.

Since December 1995 we live in the countryside near Bogota, capital city of Colombia in South America. After many years of working in the big city, the dream of living in the countryside was able to be a reality... But it still lacked something, we wanted after raising during more than twenty years dogs as mascots and guardians, to breed a special dog... The search began...

Our home land was named Berkana in honor of the sixteenth Viking rune, rune of the growth, of the vital process, of reborning. It makes the man overcome the adversity and it symbolizes the unit of the cycle birth, death and rebirth. Selene means Moon, the same meaning as Chia in native Colombian language.

In January 2006, we had one of the most beautiful experiences of our life when meeting with the first Clumber Spaniel, ChCo. Ec. Pe. V. AyC. AM Vishnu Quijote Del Cypres.

It was passionate love at first sight

Berkana Du Selene began in August 2006 with the arrival of Troya's PZ1 Andromeda (Sofia), daughter of Nonsuch Dapple Dawn (Zulu) and Troya's ZM1 Demeter, granddaughter of Ch Clusexx Show Me The Money and Ch Nonsuch Ashes of Roses (SouthAfrica) and Great-granddaughter of great champions BISS BIS A/C Ch. SmokeRise Country Gentleman and Clussexx Hi Ho Hi Ho.

In January 2007, Vishnu Berkana Clussexx Del Cypres arrives (Kana), daugther of Am Ch Libell's Hot Shot at Clusexx (Victor) and ChCo Vishnu Dulcinea Del Cypres. In 2008 from Anne Ernst & Rita Frahm (Denmark), Chervood's Snow Forest (Gambler) grandson of Ch Chervood's Snow Man, "Prince of Denmark" joins them.

In July 2007 a wonderful black Briard, Camille L'Spint D'Anubis (Camille), daugther of Ch Wukongo de Dasilva & ChCo Pegny du Moulin D'Eau, from two of the best european kennels, arrives. In 2008 a tawny Briard, Merlot L'Spint D'Anubis (Merlot), great grandson of Ch Picon Bierre des Plaines de Brotonne joins her. The line strengthens in 2010 with Deja Vu Popsakadoo Flower Power (Syrah), coming from Terry Miller and Dominique Dube (USA), daugther of 2009 Westminster Breed Winner, Ch Deja Vu Up Close & Personal and 2011 Westminster Best of Opposite Sex, Ch Deja Vu Ten.

In 2009 we met Elba Fuente de Bruno Magnasco at the International Show in Buenos Aires (Argentina) and so we have introduced Bearded Collie breed in Colombia, occasionally seen in our Country, with Oporto de Un Rebaño Escoces (Tango), grandson of two World Champions, Dunhill Determination and Napoleon de Un Rebaño Escoces, who arrives on February 2010. Same year he is accompanied by Qasar de Un Rebaño Escoces (Milonga), daughter of Junior World Champion, Canape de Un Rebaño Escoces.

In 2010 our first dog is sent for export to Chile, a Clumber Spaniel male, Berkana Araucano Du Selene (Araucano).

Today Berkana Du Selene has 1 Colombian Grand Champion, 5 Colombian Champions, 2 Argentinian Champions, 1 Chilean Champion, 1 Latin American Champion, 9 Colombian Junior Champions. Our dogs have won Best In Show 12 times and they are between the best twelve dogs in Colombian National Ranking since 2008.
